Working at Cambrian Homecare has been such a great learning experience. Going into this type of field I knew nothing about it. Ive been here over a year now and didn't realize how many responsibilities there is for my position. My current position is a weekend staffing coordinator, meaning i work thursday - monday. Working on the weekends gives you the chance to play a part in every role an office can have. For example :
1. you have to be a team player and have great communication.
2. you need to learn how to keep your team under control and keep the caller under control when something urgent is happening.
3. during the weekend i play reception , im a care coordinator & i also play a supervisor role when needed.
I was considered a supervisor at the customer service desk. My job was to be a cashier but to also make sure other cashiers were doing their job and making sure they were always on time. As a supervisor at customer service I also had to make all the money from that day was correctly counted before it leaving it to the money counter. Being in this position helped me be fast and helped be learn on how to deal with large amounts of money.
I was hired as a seasonal employee during Christmas time. At target you are positioned in what you apply for or if you are interested in any other position. In my case i had applied for cashier to get cashiering for future jobs, unfortunately all those positions were closed so I was offered in being on the style team. Style team meant you were going to be working with the clothing and shoes. I got the chance to learn how to organize all types of clothes. Whether it was men, women, infant or joes. Sometimes even jewelry.
