Sonia Moshfeghi

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Transportation Engineering at Florida Atlantic University, where I conduct research on data analytics, fleet management, and in-vehicle sensing at the Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering (I-SENSE). I have 5 years of working experience and professional certificates, including Data Analysis with Python from IBM, Data Analysis and Visualization with Power BI certification from Microsoft, and Supply Chain Professional. I am also a member of the Student Leadership Council at the Center for Smart Streetscapes (CS3), where I serve as the education and outreach liaison and the institution representative.

Before joining FAU, I worked as a data analyst of transportation at Arta Logistics, a leading provider of supply chain solutions. I applied my skills in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), procurement, purchasing, and customer service to optimize fleet operations, enhance safety control, and increase customer satisfaction. I was part of a team that successfully implemented a large contract with a major retailer, resulting in significant cost savings and efficiency improvements. I am passionate about using data to solve transportation challenges and create smart and sustainable mobility systems. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I am fluent in English, Turkish, and Persian and have a keen interest in sensor technology and driving behavior.
