I have learned invaluable life lessons and skills as a college athlete. Playing a college sport has instilled in me time management. The hours required to play at a collegiate level while also attending full time school required a person to be focused, structured and scheduled. I also learned the importance of authority. By listening and applying advice from coaches, I have built thick skin to not only take criticism, but also self reflect and apply the advice and critique of those above me. As a college athlete, winning is your drive. I have a deep desire to succeed, the knowledge that success requires work and self motivation, but also a gained wisdom that along with success you must also learn and self motivate through the losses. Golf is not a team sport, my entire career prior to college and through college has taken hours upon hours of practice, self reflection, and the ability to make small changes to have a great impact. These skills encompass me and carry through now into my career.
