  • ICU

     - Assisted in care of 1-2 adults. Practiced nursing skills such as central line care, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, obtaining ABGs, and administering and titrating IV medications.

  • Emergency Department

     - Assisted with triage and stabilization of critical patients. Practiced initiating IV access, catheterization, medication administration, and participated in interdisciplinary communication regarding the treatment and placement of mental health patients. 

  • NICU

     - Helped provide care for 2 neonates each shift. Performed head to toe assessments, regular care and feedings, assisted with stabilization after desatting, and helped conduct routine tests for discharge. 

  • Labor and Delivery

     - Assisted with labor progression, two vaginal deliveries, and provided newborn care. 

  • Telemetry

     - Performed ECGs, nasogastric tube feedings, fractured bone care, and assessments in the care of 4-5 adults.

  • Medical Surgical

     - Assisted with surgical and trauma recovery for 4-5 patients at a time.
