● Qualified and experienced in multiple treatment modalities including Plasma Exchanges,
Red Cell Exchanges and White Cell Depletions.
● Received extensive instruction related to cellular collection for pharmaceutical
manufacturing. I have worked closely with the Dendreon Corporation in collecting
mononuclear cells for the production of Provenge, a vaccine for treatment of Stage 4
Prostate Cancer, for multiple patients. I was also involved in the procurement (of white
blood cells) stage for Argos . (Argos was being tested as a treatment of Renal Cell
Carcinoma). The collection I performed for Argos was one of less than ten to have been
performed in the United States at that time.
● Competent with multiple vascular access devices, including the Vortex Port
(Angiodynamics) which can be used with the Terumo machines for all therapeutic procedures.
● I worked with local physicians, nurses and ancillary staff on a daily basis to best deliver
therapeutic apheresis treatments efficiently.
● The region consisted of 8 hospitals and 4 outpatient centers. The therapeutic staff
consisted of 2 full time RN's (including myself) and 1 part time RN.
● I have worked with physicians and pharmacists for 2 major systems in the Toledo Ohio
area to develop order sets, as they pertain to Therapeutics, to be used in the EMR.
