I prepare quotations for pharmaceutical testing for one of the largest independent laboratories in the country. I interpret request for quote details and prepare accurate quotations. This includes communicating with project management and technical personnel to clarify unclear information.

I create pricing for new tests, as required. Pricing is based on similarity of current testing and any input from technical leadership. I work extensively in Word and Excel to prepare the quotes.

Most quotations are a word document with an attached Excel file that has the pricing table that I prepare, based on the specific testing that the client requires.

Prepare quotes and bids for national contracts for environmental testing based on collaboration with sales managers and project management. Verified state-specific certifications held by laboratory for all tests reported on projects, ensuring compliance before bid submissions.

Send completed quotes directly to each client. Communicate with clients about the quotes and any questions they had or necessary changes. Update pricing with changes per decisions from the sales manager.

Train new Specialists on how to prepare quotations. Assist in maintaining a list of state certification information to reduce time when reviewing certifications. Assisted with completing forms required for DoD projects. Prepared prepared the forms for each analysis so they would be available whenever needed for a DoD project.

Audit sample paperwork to ensure the sample entry matches the tests requested on the sample chain of custody. If the Chain of custody wasn't clear, I would contact the client to confirm what was needed for the sample.

Set up forms for sample entry and review the client request form with the tests they want analyzed, prepare a list with the specific compounds for tests that have many options such as semi-volatiles or volatiles. Then, prepare a standard form, which includes all of the tests and lists to be reported for the sample.

**Updated the position title from Senior Chemist Coordinator to Group Leader in 2005.**

Supervised laboratory personnel,which included providing feedback and preparation and implementation of annual reviews for staff. I interviewed potential new staff, and hired employees. I also, was involved in the firing of unfit staff. I supervised 8 people in this position.

I scheduled the workload for the entire department ensuring holding times were met, rush turnaround times were prioritized and re-extractions were given urgency. This included scheduling for four analytical departments and three shifts of laboratory technicians. This also included nearly 100 different extraction types.

I reviewed and approved extraction data for compliance. Further, I wrote and updated standard operating procedures for extraction methods. In addition to these duties I was the departmental contact for state and client audits.

I performed the same responsibilities as stated above. The position's title changed in 2003 to better fit the technical accountabilities of the position.
