I take great satisfaction in the growth of the office from 15 employees to 31 and counting today. I added the Foreign Trade Zone and CCSF (Certified Cargo Screening Facility), as well as the Distribution Dept (wholesale, retail, E-Com, Pick and Pack, Cross Dock, Drop Ship).

Responsible for all departments in branch financially, compliance, and operations: Air and Ocean Import, Air and Ocean Export, Brokerage, Sales, Warehousing, and Distribution.

Knowledge of market and competitors allowed me to start biweekly consolidations to certain destinations.

Improved department procedures by evaluating existing processes and implemented improved methods.

Built a team and expanded the services being offered to grow and remain innovative in a competitive market.

Implemented, trained, and enforced full compliance with TSA and CTPAT and oversaw all office audits from FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and FMC (Federal Maritime Commission).

Procurement for all ocean, air, rail, and over the road transportation (FTL and LTL).

Handled Key Accounts such as Black & Decker, 3M, Carnival Cruise Lines, Nortel Networks, Apple Inc via all modes of transport through out the fully supply chain as well as give recommendations to decrease transit time and minimize cost when/if needed.

Strengthened and maintained relationships with customers and oversaw Key Accounts RFQs, bids, and tender management to offer best solutions to fit customer needs.

Ensured that business unit on need to know basis adhered to CTPAT, TSA Regulations, CFRs, and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Managed Gateway Department in the Miami Hub to LATAM, calculated ad hoc pricing based on market situation (tradelane, capacity, volumes, consolidated services, economy, commodity).

Negotiate contracts with carriers and procured vendors that optimized profits within the agreed offers.

Overseeing proper handling of all shipment types: perishables, DG shipments, bonded cargo, radioactive material, AOG, hand carries, cruise dry dock project and ship provisioning, vehicles, Department of State, ITAR, and licensed shipments.

Worked with sales and senior colleagues with customer needs in joint-sales visits and update CRM.

Ensured department was profitable and within budget overseeing expenses, profits, managing department P&L, and meeting SLAs and KPIs.

While with ABX Logistics USA Inc., I joined the Import Dept (Air & Ocean) and Brokerage Dept. as I wanted to learn all aspects of the industry and was fortunate enough that I was given the opportunity. I handled all both ocean and air import from Arrival Notices, import breakbulk, to clearing all shipments with U.S. Customs working with all types of Government Agencies, paying duties, and cargo dispatch to door, depending on the Incoterms.
