  • Registers patients and takes care of related paperwork and administrative requirements of the healthcare facility. Providing clerical and secretarial duties, such as filing, faxing, and copying, and completing paperwork as needed.
  • Answering incoming calls in a timely manner, routing calls to appropriate nurses or departments, entering and routing phone messages to appropriate nurses and departments, and entering patient information into the computerized system of the healthcare facility.   • Train new employees, and ensure floats have proper training and access to up-to-date protocols.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, greet patients upon arrival to the clinic, verify patient demographics and insurance information, and manage patient records using electronic health record software.
  • Collect and process payments, and prepare daily deposits for processing.
  • Collect, sort and file clinic mail daily. Sort and file incoming faxes throughout the day.
  • Work closely with providers regarding patient scheduling. Respond to providers staff messages, secure chats, and scheduling requests. Manage patient phone messages and patient encounters.
