  • I enjoy meeting new people and teaching them new skills.
  • I gave a tour of our building to the new associates winding up in their department. They’re showed where the bathrooms, time clocks, lunchroom and HR’s office are located.
  • I’ve trained them on the RF guns showing which program to use.
  • The new employees are shown how to work safely around the conveyor lines, anchors and wooden pallets.
  • I explain how to choose which stacking design depending on the size of box the product comes in. I drew these designs on a flip board in receiving. The display is still there for references.
  • I successfully lobbied for having each zone’s pallets labeled semipermanently. The temporary labels were lasting only days long and this made it difficult for the associates locating the correct pallet.
  • I spoke with my supervisor about a safety issue with pallets too close to an aisle in front of an exit. That practice stopped.
  • I alerted a team leads to a safety accident and other safety incidents that resulted in less drivers in our aisle since the personnel and drivers share that space.
  • I alerted my team leads and management how it’s difficult to sort the boxes and carry them to the assigned pallet. Management got the coordinating wrist attachment for the RF guns making their job easier.
  • I keep updated on changes in the other departments.
  • Worked in the Lyle department throughout peak season picking and packing.
  • We had weekly meetings how best to handle that day’s requirements and quickly was able to change plans as the week progressed.
  • I stayed with my new employees all day the first day, 2nd day I recapped what was learned yesterday and moved forward as the day progressed. Usually less interactions as the days go by but I’m always in the aisle with them for questions or help.
  • I teach the employees how to do the job and the standard that’s expected.
  • I acquaint employees where the supply items they’ll need to get the job done.
  • I retrain if the employees is showing too many issues or has a low productivity score. I offer advice and possible solutions to issues.
  • I’ve often been given employees that require extra time to catch on to their new job. I offer practical advice and encouragement. If they’re still not getting it, I ask them what part of the process is giving them issues and we try to work it out.
  • I work along side employees so they can see a good work ethic and I’m always accessible.
  • I’m still learning new procedures in departments that weren’t in my skill set.
  • I’ve worked collaboratively with the other trainers in all departments making a unified team approach.
  • Provided personalized guidance to learners through one-on-one coaching sessions.
