My job as a dispatcher for 3s towing involved the following:
Computer efficiency and teamwork. I would accept an insurence call on a computer and send it to the specific driver to go and do. You must be able to adapt to change due to tow trucks breaking down, or even little things like traffic that extend the eta for the tow. You have to be people oriented and have nothing but the best intention for them to get home safely no matter what. They are counting on you to help them in a vulnerable time of need, and you must make them feel calm, and not add stress the situation. Job also requires to take payments over the phone and work for 4 police departments, as we are on a contract with them for accidents and road calls like flipped semis etc. I have a 20 minute window to call my driver and get him on scene of the police accident or traffic stop. 3s towing requires us to file all police calls in a file cabinet and wright the information in a binder, so when the customer comes to get their car out we can easily find it and escort them to their vehicle and release it for them. The job brings determination to solve the problem whatever it is because the customer needs to get off the road way at any means necessary. I think all of these skills will serve me very good for vestas and prepared me well for this situation.
Went to a community College for construction management while I was in high-school, and renovated a house to completion with classmates.
