Picks up, processes, or disposes of trash, brush, litter, recyclables, bulky items, re-use items, or compostable items and dumps collected materials at designated dump sites/landfill. Maintain dedicated bus lanes and bikeways on residential and major streets in City of Austin. Pre-trips all vehicles and heavy equipment, as required by management; maintains detailed vehicle and equipment records; completes paperwork, forms, and reports related to collection activities. Ability to follow routes, read street maps, and micro-routes to locate route destinations. Trains others in the proper use of equipment and vehicles as required by management. Sets up, operates, and maintains (as required by position) automated collection vehicles, street sweeper vehicles, rear-loader vehicles, rubber-wheeled loader, truck-mounted knuckle-boom grapple loader (crane), tractor trailer rig, truck trailer rig to haul equipment and materials, heavy equipment, landfill-wheeled trash compactor; track dozer loader with waste handling, paddle wheel scraper, track dozer with angle and straight blade, brush tub grinder, motor grader, wheeled/tracked excavator, fuel service truck, forklift, tanker, high-lift rubber tire loader, dump truck, water truck, roll-off truck, roll-off truck/roll-off trailer combination, and other industry related equipment as assigned.

Operate Class "A" CDL equipment (rear loader, dump truck and other ARR equipment as necessary) Check, clean, perform, basic vehicle inspections. Follow and read street maps and micro routes to locate collection destinations Complete paperwork, forms and reports Recognize improperly set out items and provide program information to customers as needed Operate Rear Loader Vehicle. Operate Dump Truck and other equipment as needed Transport collected bulk and unload at processing site Assist other ARR crews as directed Train other employees on equipment operation as well as workplace functions. Perform the duties of ARR Operator as required.

Mount/dismount tires on 35-45 foot fleet buses. Checked tire pressure and tire threads weekly. Break down old tires for disposable. Rotated tires and repaired damaged tires as necessary. Fueled buses. Maintained accurate stock records and schedules.
