The Medicare Specialist will ensure up-to-date Medicare information and assistance is provided to Nevada residents via the helpline and in person at different counseling sites. I assist Medicare beneficiaries and advocates in understanding Medicare benefits, selecting appropriate Part D plans, troubleshooting difficult Medicare calls/cases, and providing in-person presentations to the public across northern Nevada, as well as participating in annual open enrollment and Special Enrollment Periods qualifying events, as well as face-to-face interactive sessions, public education presentations, developing Medicare counsel training programs, and media activities throughout Northern Nevada

Provide ongoing services and support in the community to homeless/formerly homeless veterans enrolled in the HUD VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing) Case Management coordinates and monitors services to ensure a rapid exit from the VOA VA homeless shelter through assessment of client needs, service planning, and linking clients to agency and mainstream resources, and advocacy to maximize client's access to housing to stabilize and increase client's self-sufficiency. The Case Manager is responsible for assuring quality services compassionately and professionally as it relates to the specific program objectives.
Responsible for organizing, planning, facilitating, and directing the caregiving staff health education exercise instruction for Memory Care Residence following current standards, guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Memory Care Program Director to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, following the assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each Memory Care resident.
