I started Fresh Off The Grill Barbecue & Catering Company in 2005. It’s the 1st outside Barbecue Stand in Inkster. I stopped in 10-2013 & transferred the business to my Son, due to health issues.He’s still in business & no longer work full time, only if he has a big job & needs my assistance. I also started a Unique Crafts Boutique. I hand make, keepsake memorials for people that have loss a love one, including pets. I’m a holiday decorator, I also make personal Christmas decorations. I can make any holiday a special day. I was a resident at your shelter downtown Detroit, on Robert Walker Dr. in the hotel where the entertainment for the city use to stay, it was during Covid. I have a blood disorder that’s why they let me stay there, I was away from everyone else. I really appreciate you all assisting me when I really needed some help, to get back on my feet. The staff was really impressed with me while I was there. After the 2nd day of me being there, I got my thoughts together & I was able to find my own place, without using any of their listings. They also asked me if they could publish me in their Newsletter. Now that I’m in a better place mentally, I would like to be a asset to NSO & be a Emergency Shelter Operation Specialist. I don’t have any experience in this field, but I’ve ran my own business & I’ve helped a lot of people, whether it was mentally or physically. I’m a very good listener & I catch on easy. Most of all, I love helping people.
