Moving from a freight broker to a truck dispatch was a serious experience. I learnt more about truck and trailer details first, responsibilities of a truck driver and managing his logbook. My tasks were: monitoring market and finding profitable loads for my trucks, negotiating with brokers and direct customers about rates, setting dedicated lanes and different opportunities for my trucking company, working with Rate confirmations, BOLs and PODs, lumpers etc. Moreover, trying to avoid issues or solving them immediately, keeping the customers updated all the time. I was always tracking OTPs and OTDs, the transit process of the load and providing ETAs. Besides, our company has own Brokerage MC and I was working with two direct shippers. I found them myself, built strong relationships, was communicating with them any time of the day if they needed. I am well acknowledged how to use the Truck Stop and DAT, looking for responsible and reliable carriers, also building strong and long lasting relationships with them; posting my freight correctly. I was setting appointments for pickups and deliveries via Capstone and One Network websites. All the freight orders were picked and delivered safe and sound by the carriers I chose to use on my loads. I am definitely sure that my brokerage experience makes me way more happy rather than dispatching trucks! And I would like to join the company which can give me a bunch of opportunities to develop myself and my ideas.

Before being promoted to a Team Lead, was working in a Track & Trace department. My responsibilities were checking drivers' ETA to make OTP and OTD, making check-calls in transit and updating customers about their shipment's transit status, checking and sending BOLs and PODs. Also, was setting appointments with shippers and receivers. Then was working in a team as a freight broker. I was looking for a freight, depending on hot areas, market rates, carriers most availability etc. Was making negotiations about rates on loads, looking for responsible and reliable carriers, who were hauling my freight, checking my load status and was updating customers. Also, was making cold calls with customers and carriers, building strong relationships with both. I worked with van, reefer, flatbed, stepdeck carriers. Was operating with FTLs and LTLs. Tried to do my best in searching maximum opportunities.
