Dedicated and compassionate pre-med student with hands-on internship, volunteer, and caregiving experience. Seeking opportunities to further develop clinical skills and leadership abilities on the path toward becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Strong time management, communication, and adaptability, with a commitment to serving diverse communities.
My dedication to academics, leadership, and service has been recognized through various awards and honors. I graduated in the top 10% of my class while earning 60 college credit hours through a dual credit program, allowing me to complete my Associate of Arts degree alongside my high school diploma. I earned the AP Scholar Award for my performance in AP Spanish IV and V, maintained consistent placement on the Honor Roll, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. I received the Fort Worth Mayor’s Achievement Award, multiple community service awards for volunteering, and recognition for leadership in organizations like FCCLA, Student Council, and Upward Bound. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to academic excellence, leadership growth, and active involvement in my community.
Throughout high school, I was involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities that helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and service skills. I served as President of Latin Club, Co-President of FCCLA, Vice President of Student Council, and Secretary of National Honor Society. I was also an Ambassador for TRIO Upward Bound, a Hope Squad Leader focused on mental health and peer support, and an active member of Best Buddies, Book Club, and Latinas in Progress. In addition, I participated in DoSomething.org campaigns promoting social causes, and volunteered at multiple community events, including Funky Town Fridge and Making It Count Inc. Through these roles, I learned the importance of community involvement, cultural pride, and making a positive impact inside and outside of school.
