I performed all duties included in deli work. Fried food, prepared platters, made sandwiches. Also scanned out of dates, took orders, stocked shelves. Basic customer service. I also had training on the slicers. So I can slice meats and cheeses for platters and sandwiches.
Once I was made full time I was asked to do managerial duties when the manager wasn't there, leading a crew of 7 people.
I greeted customers, checked them out at the registers. I also helped on the sales floor selling beer and wine. At times I assisted with teaching classes. I was in charge of the humidor and the top seller of cigars for our Total Wine for 2 years!
I took the bottom selling humidor in the country to number one in one year.
At Sportsman's I was a cashier, then moved to customer service. I learned all the regulations for hunting and fishing licenses in Wyoming. I worked on the sales floor, in pretty much all departments.
