After my time in college where I worked at the library front desk and eventually the archives—I started as a barista in a luxury resort in Farmington. I then worked to get promoted to becoming a server’s assistant at the five-star restaurant on property there. It was an amazing experience where I learned the importance of menu knowledge as well as technical serving skills. While the restaurant was closed for renovations, I was asked to become a supervisor for the coffee shop, which is where I learned things like ordering and schedule making.
