  • Tradehome was a phenomenal job to own that helped me cultivate my skills in sales further by approaching customers, starting up a chat, and really just getting to know the people I live with in the Greenville area. It was a very humbling experience to put shoes on someone, chatting them up, and make sure they leave with solid products that make them happier than when they first came in. My time as a Sales Lead was used to get to know a variety of products even though I was in the same field as I was previously.

  • When brought onto the team, I was hired as an Assistant Manager for the company. I learned better salesmanship, came into my own as a leader, and learned a variety of skills in a new retail environment. I was given the opportunity to work in several of the company’s stores spread out across the upstate. Going from working in a more teen shoe store (Journeys and Jarman stores) to an infant and early youth store (Journeys Kidz) gave me time to work on skills that I wouldn’t have had the chance to learn in the traditional adult retail environment.

  • As the Team Lead (Store Manager) for the seasonal See’s Candies store, I was responsible for everything in the store; Deliveries, staffing, supplies, scheduling, etc. It was however a bit of a different setting than what I was used to. This was a slower paced setting in a retail environment with no management to show me how things were done in person. A feat I was proud to say I tackled.

  • During my time at Marble Slab, I started out as a regular Crew Member which included basic responsibilities such as serving and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the store. Around the 6 month mark, I was promoted to Shift Leader and given more responsibilities to tackle which included opening and closing the store. After a 8 month hiatus, I returned with the aspiration of becoming the Assistant Manager. After having earned the position, I was again promoted and embraced the role which came with more leadership.
