Landen Ching

As a server at Gen, it’s my job to keep a fast paced energy as i’m greeting customers, taking down orders, upselling premium items/alcoholic beverages, & being very attentive. As a server you have a lot of support from your team, but you can’t always expect that as sometimes we’d be short staffed. You have to be focused & always remember to be cautious for times when you’re getting parties sat in your section, along with keeping up with the tables that are already dined in your section before that. It’s a mental game & you always have to keep a fresh & open mind as a Server at Gen.

My responsibilities as Custodian cast member at Aulani were to always make sure the general areas of the resort were kept nice and clean for all the guests who are there to enjoy a wonderful vacation. Most duties/tasks given to me were keeping restrooms cleaned every hour, along with making sure trash bins never overflowing as they usually fill up quick due to a packed house.

I started off as a basic crew member at Infinitea. Simple tasks like, preparing a nice refreshing drink for a customer, restocking inventory, always making sure the back is clean & sanitary, & of course working the cashier. After a few months I became a manager which allowed me to make the work schedule, count the money in the register after closing, helping out the team, & obviously making sure everyone on the shift is doing their job with great quality & effort of course.
