Reliable Dispatcher with 38 years of experience. Highly effective at maintaining tight schedules and keeping callers satisfied and drivers safe. Enthusiastic about driving improvements to business operations. Adept at coordinating schedules and field personnel to provide efficient service to callers.
Dispatcher in the oil, gas, and chemical industry. Three out of 5 work days weekly, I was dispatching local, intrastate, and interstate jobs, and was alone for 12 hour shifts, assigning drivers, brokering out loads when necessary. The fourth day was with a full office, but the other 3 days, I worked independently. I carefully selected the closest driver to the load requested, with the proper vehicle, and assigned the load with computerized dispatching software, Datatrac. I sometimes, during the busiest of times, had as many as 175 loads to dispatch, and track on my 12 hour Saturday and Sunday shifts. We had even more after the record cold spell in February of 2021, when all of the plants suffered catastrophic damage to pipes, valves, washers, gaskets, reactors, and just about everything else. It was up to me to monitor the deliveries, and keep the customers informed about the status of the loads, entering notes into orders indicating any problems we encountered. I also had to assign loads for early the following day as well. That freeze produced the biggest influx of loads that I have ever seen in all my career as a dispatcher with more than double my busiest ever.

Dispatcher for construction, and courier industries, doing a lot of CSR work. I would take orders and deal with issues with deliveries, while tracking the progress of all deliveries, making sure they were done on time, keeping the customer informed as necessary. I was also in charge of pricing the deliveries, factoring in the distance traveled, weight, and detention time.
