Summary

Since May 2022, I have served our community in the capacity as a Social Service Specialist 1 in Child Protective Services. During this time, I have gained experience and knowledge in Child Welfare. I have learned how to effectively navigate our policies and procedures and engage the families in our community in alignment with the Vision for Transformation. This includes the understanding that children do best when they grow up in a family and we must engage our families with fairness, equity and inclusion.


As I have navigated my time in casework, I have learned so much through our trainers and management. I now feel that I am able to use the knowledge I have gained, to support the growth of other workers through the position of a Coaching and Training Specialist. I appreciate your consideration of me for this position and would appreciate the opportunity to speak further with you about how I could contribute to District 10 through this position.
