I’ve spent 8 years working retail and customer service. Working for a small box retailer was rewarding because of serving small communities. My retail experience was wonderful for that reason, I loved going to work everyday seeing regular customers. Running a store that was always there for the people, always having what they need and staffed with friendliness. Retail was never really about the business for me, it was always about serving the people.
My hope for my future career is to use my compassion in its fullest ways. I’d like to use my personal experience with neurodiverse individuals to drive me to be able to be a voice for more neurodiverse individuals. AAC devices, basic sign language, stimming activity, sensory processing techniques are all everyday things in my life and I would love to use my experiences as a foundation to help guide others into achieving their fullest potential.
