Accomplishments

Most Outstanding Senior Award - Naperville North High School - May 2024

  • This award is given to one senior who exemplified everything that Naperville North stands for. This includes showing leadership and making a community through different organizations, classroom engagement, community involvement, and an overall love for what they do for Naperville North. I am so honored to be named amongst such an elite group of Alumni.

Graduation Commencement Speaker - Naperville North High School - May 2024

  • I was honored to be chosen to represent my high school class as our graduation speaker. I applied for this along with around 15 other applicants and my speech got chosen. I loved every moment of this from the practicing, editing, and actually speaking. This is something that I will never forget in my entire life.

Physical Education Student of the Year - Naperville North High School - May 2024

  • This award was given to an individual that showed aspects of leadership, community, and kindness towards all peers. This award was amazing to get because, at the time, I was working with our SPED department in our Adapted PE program. I'm so glad that I made as much of an impact as I did on their lives and the PE department as well.

Social Studies Student of the Year - Naperville North High School - May 2024

  • This award was given to a student that showed a willingness to learn about all different aspects of social sciences. At the time, I was taking two weighted classes in the social studies department which I got straight A's in both. I also had great relationships with both of my teachers and my peers around me as well.

2024-25 Illinois State Scholar - February 2024

  • This group of students was chosen by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. According to the ISAC, State Scholars are "graduating seniors who possess superior academic potential". This took into account our standardized test scores and our sixth semester rank. We are approximately the top 10 percent of graduating seniors in Illinois.

Top Dawg Leaders - Naperville North High School - August 2023 to May 2024

  • Top Dawgs was a collection of teacher selected Juniors and Seniors for our leadership program at Naperville North High School. We would meet once every two weeks or so and learn new ways that we can improve our community. We would also meet with the Underclassmen leaders to teach them ways that they can improve their community as well.

Adapted PE Leader - Naperville North High School - August 2023 to May 2024

  • Being an Adapted PE Leader was much more than just another class for me at Naperville North. This class was more like a tight knit group of students that all had a common goal of being selfless and giving up an hour of their day to make our special education students lives better and better everyday. I fostered so many connections during my time in the program that I hope to keep for the rest of my life.

Dawg Pound (Student Section) Leader - Naperville North High School - August 2023 to May 2024

  • Being a student section leader helped me in many aspects that I want to keep doing going forward. This taught me important lessons in accountability, respect, and leadership, while also improving some of my skills like Marketing and Public Speaking. We would set different events for students to attend, notify students about themes and times for sporting events, and also run an Instagram that all students could follow.

Freshman Crew Leader - Naperville North High School - August 2023 to May 2024

  • As a Freshman Crew Leader, we would stop by our selected Freshman homeroom class once or twice a month, with different lessons and activities trying to get our new Freshman more familiar and involved with Naperville North. I really enjoyed doing this because I felt like I could actually inspire the younger group of students to improve their own communities and also make them feel like they had people to go to for questions or anything like that.

Varsity Basketball - Naperville North High School - November 2022 to March 2024

  • Basketball taught me so many lessons that I would have never learned without playing a sport. Throughout my 4 years in the program and 2 years on varsity, I learned lessons about communication, accountability, dedication, high work ethic, and many more traits I wouldn't have without basketball. I hope to carry on doing these habits and keep all of the connections I made for a very long time.
