Recent Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate, concentration in Drawing, Painting, and Art History with experience as a Gallery Assistant, Custom Framer and in customer service management. I simultaneously graduated Magnum Cumulate, developed a wide body of art work, ran cross country and worked part time both in retail as well as in the Gallery. To do this I had to be very organized, maintain a high attention to detail, as well as be highly creative and manage my time well. To collaborate well, you have to listen attentively, both of these skills were developed and refined by my time in senior studio, as well as in the Gallery and my experience in Customer Service.

Customer Experience Manager

  • As the Customer Experience Manager my role was to manage the front end of the store
  • To maintain a clean, friendly, and inviting environment for the customers
  • I worked closely with the Cashiers and Sales Associates to keep the front end running smoothly, to quickly solve any issues that arose, and to lead promotion of our rewards programs
  • I was also responsible for organizing and running weekly kids craft events and collecting online orders for customers
  • I was responsible for opening and closing the store, which include tasks like preparing the cash drawers, submitting the deposit for the previous day, daily readiness walk through the store, and daily stocking responsibilities as well as for daily cleaning tasks
  • I would also assist the Store Manager and Merchandising Manager with their tasks; stocking and reorganizing the store for seasonal product changes, daily and yearly inventory counts and organizing team building activities.

Custom Framing Designer

  • As a Framer I would work with customers to design and create framing combinations for a range of artworks
  • I would communicate and build relationships with customers to achieve the desired look for their artwork as well as construct the frames and fit the artwork and matting together
  • We worked with photos, paintings on canvas and panel, vintage photographs, 3D works, jerseys, certificates, diplomas, signed and numbered prints, newspapers, and antiques
  • We needed basic shop skills and worked with power tools, hand tools, glass and acrylic
  • A great attention to detail and care were needed when handling artwork, frames and for keeping the shop and front desk organized and professional.

Gallery Attendant (Work Study)

  • My role here was to monitor the gallery space during opening hours, Talk to visitors and answer questions about the artwork and artists on display
  • I assisted with hanging and taking down the shows, handling, packing, and storing artwork
  • As well as cleaning and prepping the gallery between shows and documenting the shows and events in the gallery space.
