Responsible for billing all medical claims for the provider.

I am also responsible for obtaining and verifying all incoming insurance, and patient payments.

• I also apply for and complete all payer agreements for the provider.
• Respond to customer concerns and questions on daily basis.
• Produce and mail monthly statements to customers and assisted with related requests for information and clarification.

• Responsible for reading, coding, and entering into Netsmart software program, patient's medical information for nursing & homecare for correct billing reimbursement.
• Reviewed patient charts to better understand health histories, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Resourcefully used various coding books, procedure manuals, and on-line encoders.
• Applied official coding conventions and rules from American Medical Association and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to assign diagnostic codes.

• Responsible for cleaning & disinfecting all surgical areas of the hospital.
• Also responsible for pulling and issuing daily surgery cases, and processing all surgery returns through Supply Chain using the Infor software program.
